FOLLOW JESUS – 7 DAYS

“And He said to them: “Follow me…!”(Matthew 4:19)

Day 1 – The Holy Central Galilee

Discover The Land Where Jesus Spent most of His Life!

​Arrival and approaching Galilee and driving to the Holy City of Nazareth.

Visit Cana, the village famous as the site of the first miracle, the transformation of water into wine at a wedding feast (John 2:1-11).

A short drive we take you into another world, the world of Jesus childhood in the Holy City of Nazareth, where he grew up to manhood (Luke 1: 26-35) and we visit: Basilica of the Annunciation, Saint Joseph Carpentry, the Museum, and the remains from Jesus time, the Synagogue Church and the historical market, Church of Saint Gabriel, Mary’s Well & Springs, where Mary and Jesus used to come to draw water.

Drive to scenic Mount Tabor, the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ (Luke 9: 29- 30).

Continue to Mountain of Precipice,  where the people of Nazareth pursued Jesus and where Mary quaked with fear until she saw  Him emerge unharmed.

Overnight: Nazareth for 2 nights. 

​​Day 2 – Biblical Nature, Sea of Galilee and Jesus’ Miracles

Drive along the Golan Heights to Caesarea Philippi is the site where Jesus gave Saint Peter the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven: ”… I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven…”  (Matthew 16: 18-19);

Drive to the Sea of Galilee area is where Jesus accomplished numerous miracles, also chose his first disciples on its shores. Here we visit the Mount of Beatitudes, with its stunning view of the northern shores of the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus delivered his famous “Sermon on the Mountain” (Matthew 5:1-8), with its beautiful view of the lake and its sacred sites perfect time for devotion.

Continue to Tabgha, is the site of the Church of the Multiplication, Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fishes (Luke 9:10-17), and the Church of Saint Peter’s Primacy, where Jesus appeared to His Disciples, He has prepared breakfast for them and gave to Peter the pastoral commission of “feed my sheep” (John 21: 17). Cross the glorious waters of the Sea of Galilee # Enjoy a boat ride!

Continue to Capernaum situated on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Capernaum is mentioned several times in the Gospels, a place of many miracles, home to Jesus Great Galilean Ministry, the second native city of Jesus Christ, where He taught in the Synagogue (Mark 1: 21, Luke 4: 31-33), delivered a man of the unclean spirit and healed Peter’s mother-in-law (Matthew 8: 14-17, Mark 1: 21-34), healed the centurion’s servant (Matthew 8: 5-13, Luke 7: 1-10), healing the paralytic, as people let him down with the bed before Jesus, through a hole in the roof of a house, recorded in the Gospel after Matthew (9: 1-8), in the one after Mark (2: 1-12) and in the one after Luke (5: 17-26) and the House of Saint Peter and the House of the Centurion.

​Day 3 – Jericho the Oldest City, Bethlehem where the Story began

Say farewell to Galilee on your way to Jericho via the Jordan Valley. Enjoy a stunning view Mount of Temptation (active monastery carved into the cliffs), where Jesus spent 40 days of fasting and temptation and where the devil showed him all the Kingdom of the World (Luke 4: 1-13, Mark 1 12-13).

Proceed to view the Sycamore Tree of Zacchaeus in Jericho.

Continue to the Jordan River Baptism Site.

Drive via the mysterious Judean Desert on your way to Bethlehem.

Overnight: Bethlehem for 4 nights.

Day 4 – Following Jesus in Jerusalem and Ein Karem

Discover Jerusalem at the Time of Jesus!

Visit the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the Old City from the top of Mountain, and visit: Chapel of the Ascension where Jesus ascended to Heaven (Acts 1: 9-12), Paternoster Church where Jesus taught his disciples the Lord’s prayer, and the site where He revealed his last coming and the end of the World (Matthew 24: 1-3, Luke 21: 5-7).

Walk down following the traditional pathway of Palm Sunday, and visit the Church of Dominus Flevit where “Our Lord wept” where Jesus foretold the destruction of Jerusalem, as He approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes” (Luke 19: 37-42).

Proceed for a Walk through the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:30), where Judas betrayed his Master (Matthew 26: 47, Mark 14: 44).

Drive to experience an inspiring visit to Mount Zion, home to King David’s Tomb, and the actual room where the Last Supper has taken place (Mark 14: 12-26, Luke 22:7-13). Close by is the Church of Saint Peter in Gallicantu, built on the site of the House of the High Priest Caiaphas (Matthew 26:57), where Jesus was imprisoned for a night, and where Peter denied Jesus three times before the cock crowed twice (Matthew 26: 34, Mark 14: 66-72).

Drive to Ein Karem, a serene and picturesque Jerusalem suburb, is also home to the Church of John the Baptist and the Church of the Visitation, where Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth (Luke 1: 39-46).

Day 5 – Bethlehem the birthplace

We visit the oldest church in the Holy Land, the Church of the Nativity at Manger Square (Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 2:1-7), built over the Manger Cave, visit the Milk Grotto where Jesus was born (Luke 2: 1-20).

Continue with the famous Shepherds’ Fields Chapel in the area of Beit Sahur, the site where the Angel appeared to the shepherds and announced to them the birth of Jesus (Luke 2:8-20).

Free time in Bethlehem

Day 6 – Following the “way of the cross” to the Crucifixion and more of Jerusalem

Touch the emotion-filled stones of the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), the holiest Jewish shrine in the world, and explore over 3,000 years of history.

Visit the Church of Saint Anne the site of the birth of the Virgin Mary, the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus performed the miracle, healed the man who was crippled for 38 years (John 5:1-24).

Literally follow in the footsteps of Jesus as He walked down the Via Dolorosa “Way of the Cross” until you reach the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the site of the Crucifixion and the Tomb of Jesus.

Continue to Garden Tomb, which is outside the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.

Day 7 – Departure to Ben Gurion Airport for international flight back home
